We serve a mighty God. A god who is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end and he is the complete one. We all need to learn from the life of Jesus and walk in his footsteps serving the wishes of the father and learn to be obedient to be able to match to become one with the Christ.

Let us prepare our hearts even as we prepare to meet him on the last day. Let us pray that like Paul in the Book of Second Timothy 4 v.7- 8 we can say, “ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. Henceforth is laid for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me but unto all them also that love his appearing”. We are blessed to be given a chance to fight for him, live for him and be his children.

Thank you father for choosing us and giving us this wonderful opportunity to know you, worship you and be in your gracious presence. Thank you father for sending your son and our savior Jesus to us and presenting us with an opportunity to be your children. Thank you for being zealous god and giving us your exclusive attention.

Your blessing

There are many blessings in the Bible and all of them are given to all the believers in the world before us, to us and to our future generations. The promise is the same but the blessing is for you to claim. Even though every blessing given to us is given freely by God’s grace and is ours, we are to lay hold of them, through our faith and confession.

claim your blessing.JPG

The promise comes with only one condition, you be faithful to the Lord and claim it in Jesus name and it is yours. Your blessing is what God would give you for your faith and it can be entirely different from mine. In the walk of faith Peter managed to walk on water with the Lord while others saw Jesus walk towards them. To each his own faith and to each his own blessing.

David couldn’t possibly win with his own might and prowess in the battlefield against Goliath but he could easily win over the entire Philistine army with the might of the God and that is his blessing to claim. When we pray as Christians, if our prayer is raced with requests to do this and that, then there is no charm in that and it can get boring for us too. Pray to claim your blessing in the Lord and be useful to him and many people.

X for Xmas

The known universe is expected to be a very small bit of the total universe and in this small known universe a very tiny part is help by our small solar system. Earth would have been really insignificant but for the human civilization and our intelligence and the fact that we are here on this planet is itself a miracle. Now consider this. There are millions and millions of comets and other debris floating around in the universe and the fact that Earth manages to swim around all these through the cosmos without any mishap is amazing.

In this whole chaotic universe you and I exist and God chose to spend his energy and attention on us. What is man to bother the almighty and the everlasting God who created all this universe and more with a mere breath? There must be some amazing reason why the Lord God is looking at you and me tonight and that is because you fit into his plan. This also means that you are very important and God loves you so much and has a specific plan for you.

The everlasting God is calling you his son and daughter and has sacrificed his only Son, the prince of peace, the wonderful counselor and the king of kings for your salvation and mine. This is simply beautiful. You matter to God. His attention is on you and you can be sure of that. Let us all thank the Lord for this gift we don’t deserve, this love we cannot repay back and this grace that we are lucky to have. Thank you Prince of peace for this Xmas.

Walking With Christ

One of my favorite hymns which helped me overcome many dark days is when we walk with the Lord and the hymn is also one of the main inspirations for this blog. I want to share it with you and here it is.

long way t3i photography.jpg

When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will, he abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But his smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil he doth richly repay;
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet,
Or we will walk by his side in the way;
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

V is for Victory

The reason we are victors when we accept the Lord Jesus in our lives is because of his Resurrection. When Christ died on the cross and rose again from the dead, he not just defeated Satan and banished him to everlasting darkness but also fulfilled the promise of life and eternal acceptance for us in him to the father.

Victory is not a victory in one battle but in the entire war. Christ won the war for us which was since the garden of Eden and through his victory we have by default victory. Victory over satan, victory over weakness, sickness, financial burden, any thing negative and all we need to do is claim. The power of the blood of Christ is the redeemer and is the most powerful power in the universe. Such matchless power has been given to you and me to win over obstacles and be victors with Christ Jesus. Will you claim that power today and win over your worries?

U for Upright heart

The most important thing we need to praise God is to do that with an upright heart. Jesus clearly mentioned that it is more important to abide by the laws of the Bible than to make a sacrifice to the Lord. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t praise but means that we have to be cautious when we approach the altar with our praise.

As the psalmist sings our praises are the burnt offerings to God and he is to be praised. Though we may feel Praise is almost a ritual, there is mighty significance with the praise. Praise wins battles. Praise breaks barriers. Praise breaks satanic chains and bondage a. Praise clears the path to God’s blessing.

Praise is simply the solution for all our issues. Praise gives faith. Praise is through obedience and following the simple rules of the Holy Spirit. Praise with an upright heart carries more weight and is readily accepted. Let us praise and pray with a clean heart and let the holiest of all be exalted.

T is for Taste

We all have heard and sing songs about God being a good God. Being a kind one at that an a gracious one. How do you know that the God is good?

The Psalmist has a solution for that. Why do you want to assume that God is good? Why don’t you try do yourself? The goodness of our God is eternal. Unlike most other things and people labeled as gods, our God is a living God. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the living fire and the water of life. He is the comforter and the defender of the weak.

Take refuge in Lord and you shall never be left thirsting again. He is faithful and has been faithful for thousands of years. He is committed and has never gone back on his word. He remains the ultimate power and gracious god in your life and mine.

So here is an invite from the heavenly buffet. Taste the goodness of God and you shall not be left wanting. The psalmist also concludes that the ones who seek the Lord for his guidance and refuge are blessed. Why let blessings go?! Taste and see our God is good. Experience the pure power and the faithfulness of God. Come and try for yourself and see how joyful your life can be!
